New House, South York

A new house was created in the grounds of an existing property in a Conservation area close to the University. A new drive was created to access the new house that cut through the existing mature garden where the new house was being built.

As the setting was quite sensitive the Conservation Officer required landscaping details and construction details of boundary wall treatments, material details and planting that reflected the character of the area. In this instance detailed soft landscaping was not required, ie plants and tress etc so our drawings have no detail other than materials and construction to show how the drive and amenity spaces related together.

The Conservation Officer did not want any non - traditional boundaries or elements  such as timber panel fencing etc.

We provided layout drawings and construction details for the Conservation Officer’s approval.
