Native saddles up for charity challenge

A team from York based architects Native will be pedalling for success in a cycle challenge from Brussels to London on the 4th July on behalf of the 'Right to Play' charity.

Architect Chris Walker will be joined by Architectural Technologist James Newton, Rob Walker and Daren Conibere as part of 'Team Native' and they are hoping to raise over £4000 for Right to Play, an international charity that aims to develop sport and play activities for children in deprived areas of the world.

Chris explained;  "We have a strong social conscience at Native and this is the latest in a long list of charity events that we have engaged with and supported.

We have had a lot of support from our clients, suppliers, families and friends but we are looking for further sponsors to boost our efforts for this very worthy cause" added Chris who can be contacted by interested parties on 01904 656133.

Established in 1997 Native is based at Crockey Hill and the practice is focused predominantly on sustainable, eco-friendly new builds, extension and refurbishment projects across Yorkshire and the North East.

Employing five full time staff Native has picked up a number of awards for its work including the 2008 York Design Award, Local Authority Building Control commendations, CLA awards and is an active participant in Business in the Community Pro-Help scheme and RIBA's Architect in the House initiative on behalf of homeless charity "Shelter".
