Funding boost for consortium
A consortium of five companies has won Government funding in a competition.
The aim of the competition - Retrofit for the Future - is to make social housing stock more environmentally friendly.
It is being organised by the Technology Strategy Board - the Government-funded organisation which promotes innovation in the UK.
The York companies in the consortium are: Native Architects and Hall Energy Consulting from Crockey Hill; property developers Manor House Developments from the York Business Park; the Family Housing Association based in Blossom Street; and Yorkshire Energy Solutions from Helperby.
